Bike traveling: Oleta, Florida mountain biking

If you have been following us in the last months, you’ve seen us riding up and down, roads and forests but with our last trip to test drive the new Merida models, I really found the spark to do some proper off-road riding again. It really doesn’t help that the web is full of awesome videos like this one above, showing tracks in Oleta River State Park mountain bike trail system in North Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

Notice those words? A frakkin’ bike trail system. We have some tracks and trails here in Finland, mostly built by the riders themselves in the course of a long time, but I really hope we’d get some funding to let the guys do it properly.

There might even be a chance to buy this Jamis Dakar fully from a friend..

Anyway, getting interested in forest rambling means that I’ll “have” to get a mountain bike again, and I might build a full-suspension marathon runner on a budget. We’ll talk more about that in the future.
